Kauai Summer Events Calendar

If you are visiting the beautiful island of Kauai this summer, there are plenty of events for you and the whole family to enjoy! Create memories that will last a lifetime and enjoy everything this amazing island has to offer. Take a look at the Kauai summer events calendar below and plan your visit with something to fit everyone’s needs.

On June 8th is the 4th Annual Kauai Poke Fest, which has been named top five food festivals in America. Taking place at the Koloa Landing Resort, this celebration features Hawaii’s most famous dish prepared by professional and amateur chefs in a friendly competition. Not only can you enjoy some delicious poke, they will also have live local entertainment, food and drinks, and a poke demonstration by award winning chef Sam Choy.

Of course on the 4th of July, visitors can enjoy Concert in the Sky Fireworks at the Vidinha Stadium Soccer Field. This is Kauai’s largest fireworks show, choreographed to a soundtrack created by Kauai Hospice. This event will go from 3:30pm until 9pm. Tickets are available online here, the cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Children under the age of 5 are free. Fun times and exciting fireworks await at this celebration!

Taking place on July 13th is the Princeville Farmers and Arts Market. From 9:30am to 12:30pm, guests can browse and shop locally grown produce, honey, and products such as handcrafts, jewelry, clothing, artwork and more from Kauai’s talented artists. Live music and local food vendors make this a must stop for visitors in Kauai during this time. This farmers market will take place at Prince Albert Park in Princeville.

Starting on July 18th, there will be the 38th Annual Koloa Plantation Days Festival! This event is held in the south Kauai district where Hawaii’s first sugar plantation was founded in 1835. This event will last through July 28th and features a ton of events showcasing the area’s rich history and traditions. Bring the whole family to celebrate and enjoy live music, a rodeo, a festival parade, and lots of yummy food.

The Kauai Island Crafters Fair will take place on August 24th from 8am to 2pm. This free event celebrates the creativity and culture of Kauai’s local artisans and crafters. The location of this event will take place at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue. Be sure to check it out!

To round out the summer events, there is the Hawaii Line Dance Festival taking place on September 13th. This annual event invites dancers and non dancers to come and enjoy two days of non stop line dancing. With a lineup of talented instructors, there are tons of fun times to be had at this event. On September 13th the event will go from 5pm to 10pm and continue on into September 14th from 10am to 10pm. Come enjoy 2 days of fun and dance at this festival!
